I have a huge love for Rogue Squadron.  Huge huge huge love.  Did I say huge?  Also a huge love for Timothy Zahn for using Wedge and the Rogues in the Thrawn trilogy, thus cementing their place at the center of the Star Wars universe.  Literally, it’s rare to find a book in the post Yavin era without at least a mention of them.  And then of course there are the comics…oh so many glorious comics.

Yes, him [Gavin Darklighter], the rest of the Rogues, General Antilles, Colonel Celchu. None of them have the Force, but they’re ace pilots. I mean, I have a hard time imagining life without the Force, and these guys are doing great things without relying on it.
